Iran has decided to introduce a 14-day visa-free regime for the citizens of Kazakhstan. The Iranian embassy in Astana announced this on Wednesday.
"A 14-day visa-free regime for the citizens of Kazakhstan will come into force on the 20th of Aban (corresponding to November 11 - TASS)," - the Tasnim agency quotes the diplomatic mission. - "The authorities of the Islamic Republic made this decision based on the relevant agreements between the two countries, as well as on the measures taken by Kazakhstan earlier."
On July 8, Astana introduced a 14-day visa-free regime for citizens of India, Iran and China arriving in the country. According to its terms, citizens of India, Iran and China can enter and stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 14 calendar days from the moment of crossing the border. In this case, the total period of stay in Kazakhstan under the visa-free regime shall not exceed 42 calendar days during each 180-day period.
