Iranian Foreign Minister Consults with Omani Officials Ahead of US Meeting

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held preliminary talks with Omani representatives on the eve of consultations with the United States regarding the nuclear program crisis, Iranian state television reported.

 

Araghchi arrived in Muscat accompanied by Deputy Foreign Ministers Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Hamid Ghanbari, as well as Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei.

 

The direct negotiations between the US and Iran are scheduled to take place in Oman on February 6. The talks, centered on Tehran's nuclear program, will bring together an Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Araghchi and a US team headed by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
