Iran's Supreme National Security Council: No Plans for New Military Actions Against Israel

15 April

Tehran has currently no intentions of conducting fresh military operations against Israel, as stated by the secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

"Iran has undertaken solely necessary punitive measures against the occupation regime (referring to Israel - TASS) by targeting the regime's air, intelligence, and military bases while avoiding strikes on critical infrastructure facilities. At present, there are no plans for further military actions," Iranian state TV channel IRIB quoted the statement.

The document highlights that Iran's Operation True Promise, involving a significant missile and drone strike on Israeli territory, aimed at safeguarding national interests. It underscores that any continued aggression by Israel against Iran will be met with a robust response.

On the evening of April 13, Iran launched drones and missiles towards Israel, citing it as a retaliation for multiple alleged offenses, including an airstrike on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus. The Israel Defense Forces reported intercepting approximately 99 percent of the around 300 Iranian projectiles aimed at the Jewish state, resulting in minor damage to the Nevatim Air Base.
