Israel is prepared to explore military options regarding Iran's nuclear program, according to Alexander Ben Zvi, Israel's acting ambassador to Moscow, in an interview with TASS.
When asked if Israel is ready to consider military action to address the issue, the diplomat responded, “All options are on the table.”
Commenting on a recent phone call between the Russian and US leaders, Ben Zvi expressed cautious optimism, but emphasized the need for concrete actions. “We must not forget that Russia has close cooperation with Iran. If Russia can use this relationship to, for example, stop Iran's nuclear program, that would be a significant step. That would indeed offer hope,” he said.
He also acknowledged that the United States would always take steps in this direction. “If Iran agrees to stop threatening to wipe Israel off the map every day, then certainly there would be opportunities for a more peaceful process. But if not, all options remain open,” Ben Zvi added.
On March 7, US President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he had sent a message to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei offering negotiations on Tehran's nuclear program. In response, Khamenei rejected the offer, stating that Iran would not engage in talks with the US, as Washington only cares about its own interests. On March 12, Khamenei dismissed Trump's willingness to negotiate as a ploy to deceive the international community.
