Japarov: Bishkek Committed to Deepening Ties with Moscow

Kyrgyzstan is committed to further strengthening its relationship with Russia, President Sadyr Zhaparov said during a meeting in Bishkek with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma.

 

“The head of state emphasized that Kyrgyzstan greatly values its ties with Russia and is focused on deepening them further in the spirit of friendship, alliance, and mutual respect. He noted that this year holds special significance for bilateral relations, marking the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Eternal Friendship, Alliance, and Partnership between the two countries,” the Kyrgyz president’s press service reported.

 

Zhaparov reaffirmed that the strategic partnership between Russia and Kyrgyzstan is “developing steadily and dynamically.” He also expressed readiness to expand comprehensive cooperation across all areas and highlighted the importance of inter-parliamentary engagement as an integral part of the bilateral dialogue.

 

For his part, Volodin praised the high level of political dialogue between the two nations, adding that Kyrgyz-Russian relations are “based on principles of mutual respect and consideration for national interests.”
