Kazakhstan FM to visit Moscow

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu will pay an official visit to Moscow on April 11. The official representative of the Kazakhstan MFA, Aibek Smadiyarov, told reporters at a briefing on Monday.


"Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation on April 11, 2023, at the invitation of the Russian side," Smadiyarov said.


During his visit, he plans to meet and negotiate with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Presidential Aide for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov.


"The sides will discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as interaction on the regional and international agenda," the foreign ministry representative explained.


April 3 President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed Nurtleu as Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the republic. This will be the first foreign visit of the new foreign minister of Kazakhstan after his appointment.
