Over 70% of Kazakhstani respondents have a positive attitude towards the work of the president of the republic, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This is stated in a sociological study of the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan, published on Monday.
"The Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan conducted a sociological survey in March this year to analyze the public sentiments of Kazakhstanis. The survey showed that more than 70% of respondents have a positive attitude towards the activities of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev", the statement says.
It was noted that in opinion of the majority of respondents (42.1%), the president should pay attention to ensuring the rights and freedoms of citizens. At that, 41.4% of the respondents are concerned about increasing of the wages, pensions and benefits.
"Ensuring the safety of citizens is of concern to 35.3% of respondents. Strengthening of international relations is of concern for 32.5%. Slightly more than a quarter of the respondents (26.3%) want the president to pay more attention to the fight against corruption. More than half of the respondents (56.7%) believe that the president should focus on security issues, social justice (35.9%), sustainable economic development, the welfare of every family, friendship and harmony in society (26-28%)," noted in the message.
At the same time, more than half of the respondents (51%) pin their hopes for the improvement of life in Kazakhstan directly on the President. About 20.5% of the respondents pin their hopes on the government, 15% - on the local executive bodies, and 14.1% - on the parliament.
The survey was conducted from March 15 to 24, 2022. 1,863 respondents were questioned at the age of 18 to 50 years, internet users. The survey was conducted in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent and 14 regions of the country.
