Kazakhstan tests system of response to acts of terrorism as part of CIS exercise

The event to test the effectiveness of the response system to alleged acts of terrorism was held in Kazakhstan as part of the exercises of the CIS countries called "Commonwealth - Anti-terror". This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the National Security Committee of the republic.


" From August 29 to 31 on the territory of the West Kazakhstan region a counter-terrorism training event was held to test the effectiveness of the state system of response to the conditional acts of terrorism. The event was organized within the framework of joint anti-terrorist exercises of the competent authorities of the CIS countries "Commonwealth - Anti-terror-2022,"  the message reads.


According to the department, exercises allowed to work out algorithms of interaction of security and special services of the CIS countries, as well as the primary response to terrorist threats and mutual information of emergency services of authorized government agencies of Kazakhstan. Moreover, tactical skills of search, release of hostages and neutralization of suspected terrorists were practically implemented.


According to the committee, the "Commonwealth-Anti-terror" exercise took place simultaneously in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
