Kazakhstan Urges EAEU to Strengthen Trade Ties with the Arab World, Southeast Asia, and Africa

27 March

Member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) should actively expand their trade partnerships across the Arab world, Southeast Asia, and Africa, according to Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

"Our union must strengthen its position within the global trading system and broaden its network of international partnerships," Bektenov stated during an expanded session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council currently taking place in Shymkent. He pointed out that the EAEU’s foreign trade policy serves as a vital tool for creating new export opportunities for member states. "We see the nations of the Arab world, Southeast Asia, and Africa as highly promising directions for this growth," the prime minister noted.
