Kazakhstan's President Emphasizes Protection of National Interests

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underscored the nation’s unwavering dedication to safeguarding its national interests and territorial integrity in a recent address commemorating the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland on May 7.

 

Tokayev, through his official press service, affirmed, "Kazakhstan prioritizes the protection of national interests, preservation of territorial integrity, and ensuring stability in society." He lauded the courageous efforts of the country’s armed forces, portraying them as the guardians of sovereignty and the bedrock of statehood. "We witness the prowess of our armed forces not only in training exercises but also in carrying out specific operational duties," he stated, highlighting their pivotal role in recent large-scale flood relief efforts, where soldiers and officers demonstrated exceptional resolve and patriotism.

 

Asserting the significance of Defender of the Fatherland Day in fostering values of peace and tranquility, Tokayev emphasized, "True patriotism shines through in the fulfillment of military obligations, as selfless dedication to the homeland and its people is a sacred responsibility of every conscientious citizen."

 

The president reiterated that bolstering the nation's defense capabilities and providing unwavering support to the military remain steadfast priorities of Kazakhstan's state policy.
