Khamenei’s Adviser Warns of Harsh Iranian Response to Any Aggression

30 December 2025

Ali Shamkhani, political adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned that any act of aggression against Iran would trigger an immediate and severe response.

“In Iran’s defense doctrine, some retaliatory measures are determined even before a threat appears. Iran’s missile and defense capabilities are beyond control and require no authorization,” Shamkhani wrote on X. “Any act of aggression will be met with an immediate and forceful response — one that exceeds the imagination of those who initiate it.”

His remarks came shortly after US President Donald Trump said at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington remains open to dialogue with Tehran but is also prepared to use force — with consequences “far more serious than a strike on nuclear facilities.”

“I hear that Iran is trying to build up again, and if they are, we’re going to have to knock them down”, Trump said.
