Kremlin: Iran Has No Plans to Acquire Nuclear Weapons

21 March

Russia believes that Iran has no intention of developing nuclear weapons as part of its nuclear program, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated during a press briefing.

"We base our position on statements made by the Iranian leadership and officials, which clearly indicate that Iran does not intend to acquire nuclear weapons and has no such plans," Peskov said.

He also emphasized that Iran’s nuclear issue should be resolved exclusively through diplomatic means, adding that all necessary mechanisms for a peaceful resolution are in place.
