Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Makes Historic Official Visit to Oman

On February 11–12, 2025, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeenbek Kulubaev, is making the first-ever official visit to Oman in the history of bilateral relations. This was announced by the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

“Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev will undertake an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman at the invitation of Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Al Busaidi,” the statement said.

 

During the visit, Kulubaev is expected to meet with Oman’s foreign affairs leadership to discuss “pressing issues of Kyrgyzstan-Oman cooperation, including political engagement, development of trade, economic, and investment ties,” as well as collaboration between the two nations in international organizations.

 

The Kyrgyz foreign minister will also hold meetings with Omani leaders and representatives of various state agencies to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.

 

Diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Oman were established in May 1992.
