President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has demanded an end to the genocide of the Palestinian people and called for international recognition of Palestine’s independence. He made this statement at the UN General Assembly session in New York.
“We demand an immediate stop to the genocide against Palestinians and the launch of an international judicial investigation by the International Court of Justice,” Japarov announced. He emphasized that the global community must not remain indifferent to the human tragedy unfolding “in front of the whole world.”
Japarov assured that Kyrgyzstan strongly condemns violence and terrorism in any form, including the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. “Such terrorists must be strictly punished. However, counter-terrorism methods and procedures must be adhered to. These are the methods that should be used,” he added.
The Kyrgyz president also underscored the necessity of recognizing Palestinian independence. “The only way to establish lasting peace is to realize the principle ‘two states for two peoples.’ Palestine must gain independence based on the 1967 borders,” Japarov stated.
Furthermore, he expressed Kyrgyzstan’s opposition to recent missile strikes on Qatar and Iran. “We also condemn the recent missile attacks on the territories of Qatar and Iran, as these acts violate the sovereignty of independent states, threaten regional stability and security, and contradict international law,” he concluded.
