The prime ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will meet on January 8 at the tripoint of the three countries to discuss issues related to their shared border. This was announced by the press service of the Kyrgyz government.
"The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, will meet with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kokhir Rasulzoda.
The trilateral meeting will take place at the tripoint of the state borders of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan," the statement read.
The press service noted that the talks would focus on previously reached agreements between the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan regarding state border issues.
Kyrgyzstan shares borders with China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Border disputes with China and Kazakhstan were resolved several years ago. Agreements with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were signed only in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
