Lavrov: alliance and development of integration processes are in the interests of Russia and Kazakhstan

The strategic partnership, alliance and the development of integration processes meet the long-term interests of Moscow and Nur-Sultan. This is stated in an article by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, "Russia and Kazakhstan: cooperation without borders," published in the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" on Tuesday.


"Looking back at the historical path traversed by our peoples, we can confidently assert - the strategic partnership and alliance, the development of integration processes in the best way meet the long-term interests of Russia and Kazakhstan. They serve as a reliable foundation for the strengthening of good-neighborly relations and joint prosperity," Lavrov said.


According to the Russian Minister, during 29 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Kazakhstan "large-scale steps have been taken to build a modern model of interstate communication". "Now it is not only fully based on universally recognized norms of international law, but also takes into account the current geopolitical realities," he added. - "The partnership of our countries is based on cherished traditions of friendship, mutual assistance and understanding. The spiritual closeness of the Russians and Kazakhstanis plays a particularly important role".
