Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation on Friday with the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Libya Ján Kubiš.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's website, the conversation was devoted to the situation in Libya, including in light of the results of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum held under the aegis of the UN.
The Russian side reiterated that there is no alternative to a political settlement of the Libyan crisis through an inclusive process involving all leading forces of the country.
It confirmed its intention to work closely with United Nations mediation, which should play an important coordinating role.
