Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed that the Republic of Mali accurately aligns with Russia's evaluations of the situation surrounding Ukraine during a press conference following discussions with Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop.
"We discussed counterterrorism efforts, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and the Yemeni situation, reaffirming our appreciation for Mali's responsible and balanced stance regarding developments around Ukraine. Mali's understanding of our assessments is spot-on," Lavrov stated.
Highlighting the talks, Lavrov also addressed the importance of reforming the United Nations to ensure better representation of African countries' interests and influence on the global stage.
