Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that numerous invited countries have confirmed their participation in Moscow's events on May 9 to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Lavrov made this statement during a diplomatic roundtable discussing the resolution of the Ukraine crisis.
“The main date is May 9, when the Victory Parade will take place. Many invitees have already confirmed their participation, including all our friends, neighbors, and allies from the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and other nations,” Lavrov stated.
Earlier, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists that foreign leaders from various countries, not limited to the CIS, have been invited to attend the celebrations in Moscow.
