Russia will meet with its African partners in Cairo to discuss preparations for the third Russia–Africa summit, scheduled to take place in 2026, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced during a meeting of the Council of Regional Heads under the Foreign Ministry.
“In just a few days, the second ministerial conference between Russia and its African partners will be held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt,” Lavrov said. “We will review the interim results of our joint action plan and devote special attention to preparations for the third Russia–Africa summit planned for 2026.”
The second ministerial conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum is set for December 19–20 in Cairo. According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin, its main focus will be on deepening cooperation in the field of security.
