Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will continue high-level diplomatic contacts with foreign counterparts today, Wednesday, Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said.
Zakharova emphasized that since the beginning of the US-Israeli military operations against Iran, Russia has been engaged in intensive diplomatic efforts with partners across the Middle Eastern region. These latest activities follow a series of telephone consultations held on March 2, when President Vladimir Putin spoke with the leaders of several Arab states and Gulf nations.
Minister Lavrov has already held preliminary discussions on the matter with his international colleagues. Zakharova noted that today's schedule focuses on building on those talks.
