Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Jeenbek Kulubaev, for talks in Moscow, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told a briefing.

“The talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan are scheduled for January 22 in Moscow as part of an official visit to our country,” Zakharova said.

The ministers will discuss pressing issues related to bilateral cooperation across various domains, including politics, trade, the economy, culture, and humanitarian matters. Zakharova highlighted that the talks will also address Eurasian integration, global and regional security, and coordination of joint actions on international platforms. Special attention will be given to collaboration within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), given Kyrgyzstan's current chairmanship of the organization.

The meeting will also feature the signing of a cooperation program between the Foreign Ministries of Russia and Kyrgyzstan for the period 2025-2027.

Zakharova expressed confidence that the visit of Kyrgyzstan's foreign minister would further strengthen the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
