Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Moscow on February 13 during Muhriddin's official visit to Russia. This was announced by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
During the meeting, the ministers will discuss the implementation of agreements reached between the presidents of Russia and Tajikistan, as well as efforts to further strengthen the allied and strategic partnership between the two countries. According to Zakharova, particular attention will be given to issues of security, defense, and cooperation in humanitarian and migration matters.
"The parties will conduct an in-depth exchange of views on key issues of the bilateral agenda and coordinate the schedule of interstate dialogue for this year," Zakharova stated.
Additionally, the ministers will address pressing regional and global issues, including Russia and Tajikistan’s foreign policy coordination on international platforms.
The meeting is expected to conclude with the signing of several bilateral agreements, including a cooperation program between the two foreign ministries for 2025–2026.
