Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on June 24–25, where he is scheduled to hold talks with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said during a briefing at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
“On June 24 and 25, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Turkmenistan for official talks with the country’s president, as well as with the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the foreign minister,” Zakharova said.
She noted that the agenda will include upcoming high-level political engagements, the development of bilateral ties, and cooperation in trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian areas.
“There will also be an exchange of views on regional issues, the international situation, and cooperation within multilateral frameworks,” she added.
