Lvova-Belova: Another Family with Two Children Returns to Russia from Syria

13 January

A family of four has safely returned to Russia from Syria with the assistance of the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova.

“Today, a father, grandmother, and two daughters, aged 10 and 5, landed in the Moscow region aboard a Russian Defense Ministry plane. After receiving the family’s request, we worked to facilitate their return from the Syrian Arab Republic to Russia and maintained contact throughout. The family is now heading to St. Petersburg to reunite with relatives. I hope everything turns out well,” Lvova-Belova shared on her Telegram channel.

She expressed her gratitude to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Foreign Ministry, and the Russian Embassy in Syria for their assistance.

Previously, Lvova-Belova reported receiving requests from Russian families with children facing challenges in returning from Syria due to the situation there. Two families were already repatriated to Russia in December.
