President of Mali's transition period, Assimi Goita, will participate in the Russia-Africa summit along with an 80-member delegation, as announced by the Malian embassy in Russia to TASS.
"We confirm that Mali will be represented by a large delegation of about 80 people, including ministers, and it will be headed by the President. We hope that this summit will strengthen bilateral relations between Russia and Mali, not only in defense but also in the economy. We expect the signing of several agreements," stated the embassy representative.
The embassy further emphasized the importance of the summit "in affirming the friendship and strategic partnership between Russia and Mali". They highlighted Russia as Mali's primary strategic partner and expressed the desire for the private sector representatives from Mali to be present at the summit, aiming to expand investment opportunities in Mali.
