The Federation Council of Russia and Pakistan’s parliament will work together to give a strong boost to the development of relations between the two countries, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said in a congratulatory message marking Pakistan’s Independence Day to Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani.
“We highly value the current level of Russia‑Pakistan interparliamentary cooperation and are confident it will continue to grow stronger. I recall with satisfaction our constructive talks in Moscow in the spring of 2025. I am convinced that, through joint efforts, we will give a significant impetus to the development of interstate relations,” Matviyenko noted.
