US President Joe Biden plans to visit several African countries next year, Axios reported on Monday, citing sources.
According to its information, a formal announcement is expected this week during the US-Africa summit in Washington.
Earlier, Jake Sullivan, US National Security Advisor to the President, said at a briefing that Biden intends to announce several initiatives related to Africa during the upcoming December 13-15 summit. He also noted that the president supports granting one African country permanent membership in the UN Security Council as it reforms.
