Major maneuvers of the Iranian Armed Forces with massive use of combat drones began on Wednesday in different parts of the country. According to ISNA agency, more than 150 drones of different types and modifications are involved in the maneuvers.
For two days, units of Iran's Armed Forces, Ground Forces, Air Force, Navy and Air Defense Forces will practice interaction with combat drones over a wide area from the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman in the south to areas in the north and west of Iran, the agency noted.
"The Iranian Armed Forces has planned numerous maneuvers in its combat training programs for this year," the agency quoted Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, deputy commander of the Iranian Armed Forces, as saying. - "They are aimed at improving training methodologies to enhance combat readiness and deterrence capabilities."
The exercise will test the use of drones for reconnaissance, patrols and air strikes.
