Iran is currently reviewing a set of proposals from the United States aimed at resolving the escalating regional crisis, CBS News on March 23, citing a representative from the Islamic Republic’s Foreign Ministry.
According to the source, Tehran has received specific "points" through intermediaries and is in the process of evaluating them.
On the same day, US President Donald Trump shared on Truth Social that the two nations had conducted "very good and productive talks" over the previous 48 hours. In light of this reported progress, Trump instructed the Department of War to postpone planned military strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure and power plants for a five-day period. He noted that the consultations are expected to continue throughout the week.
Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, clarified to IRNA that no direct negotiations with Washington have taken place, however Iran has conveyed its position to mediators.
