An Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip has killed at least 30 people, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
The strike targeted a school building in Nuseirat where refugees had sought shelter. In addition to the fatalities, dozens more were injured in the attack.
The Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen reported that local authorities anticipate the death and injury toll to rise as rubble is cleared from the bombing site. Many of the injured are reported to be in serious condition.
