Media: Jordan Evacuates 29 Injured Palestinian Children from Gaza

05 March

Around 30 injured Palestinian children have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Jordan for medical treatment, according to Al Jazeera.

According to the report, the first group of Palestinian children — most of whom were wounded in Israeli military strikes — has been transported to Jordan to receive medical care. “One group of children, suffering from various injuries and illnesses, arrived from Gaza at Marka military airbase, while a second group was brought in by land,” the channel quoted Jordan’s Minister of Government Communications, Mohammed Al-Momani, as saying.

It was noted that Jordan is prepared to receive a total of 2,000 Palestinian children for treatment. In the first group, 29 children, accompanied by 44 adults, were brought to Jordan. All evacuees will be treated at both public and private hospitals under the supervision and oversight of Jordan’s Ministry of Health.
