One Palestinian died and about 75 were wounded in clashes with the Israeli military in the West Bank city of Nablus, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
According to its information, 15 of the injured were wounded by "rubber-coated metal bullets" in clashes that began Tuesday night, and more than 40 were exposed to tear gas. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, a 16-year-old boy was critically wounded in the head and was hospitalized at a local hospital, but medics were unable to save him.
The Arab media reported earlier that clashes between Palestinians and Israelis broke out after Israeli settlers had attempted to visit Joseph's Tomb in Nablus.
