Media: Pakistan resumes trade communication with Iran

18 July 2022

The Zero Point checkpoint on the border between Pakistan and Iran, through which commercial cargo traffic is carried out, has resumed its work after a ten-day break, the Doon newspaper reported on Sunday.

According to the newspaper, the border crossing remained closed during the Eid al-Adha holiday (Muslim holiday of sacrifice, Kurban Bayram - TASS). It is noted that after the resumption of trade communications, goods, mostly grocery, are supplied only from the Iranian side, while Pakistan "has not exported anything to Iran" in recent days".
