The Pakistani military launched several rocket attacks on the Nawa Pass and other areas of Kunar Province in eastern Afghanistan, according to Hasht-e Subh, citing local sources.
The strikes reportedly took place during the night of January 10. While details on casualties and damages are not yet available, some sources indicated that many residents were forced to leave their homes and relocate to other regions.
The Taliban-led (banned in Russia) government in Kabul has not yet commented on the attacks.
On December 24, the Taliban's Ministry of Defense condemned a similar strike by Pakistani forces in the Paktika Province, stating that such actions violate international norms and fail to address underlying issues. According to Afghan authorities, those attacks resulted in over 50 fatalities.
