Media Reports: 30 Killed in Israeli Strikes on Gaza Strip Refugee Camp

23 October 2023

The bombing in the refugee camp of Gaza Strip by Israeli aircraft has resulted in the reported deaths of 30 people, according to information from Al Jazeera, citing representatives of the civil defense. Additionally, at least 27 individuals are reported to have been injured.

Earlier, the WAFA agency reported about 13 fatalities, with the shooting targeting two residential houses and an Albanian mosque in the refugee camp located in the town of Jabalia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The situation in the Middle East has seen a significant escalation following the infiltration of Hamas fighters from the Gaza Strip into Israel on October 7. Hamas has described this attack as a response to actions by Israeli authorities concerning the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Israel has declared a complete blockade of Gaza and initiated carpet bombing on the Strip, as well as strikes on parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also occurring in the West Bank.
