The military, which seized power in Mali last week, released former Prime Minister Bouba Cisse, Le Journal du Mali reports.
At the same time with the former Prime Minister, the President of the National Assembly (unicameral Parliament) of Mali, Moussou Timbin, was released, the newspaper notes. They were arrested by the military on the day of the putsch on August 18 and held at the Kati army base near the capital city of Bamako.
Earlier on Thursday, the military released deposed Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. He is now at his home in Bamako.
