Minnihanov: Strong Ties Established Between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan

14 August

Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov spoke at the plenary session of the 7th Kyrgyz–Russian Economic Forum, noting that strong ties have been forged between Tatarstan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, which in turn contributes to the development of Russia–Kyrgyzstan relations.

“I am confident that exchanging experience and best practices between our countries will further strengthen our relations and unlock the potential of digital transformation,” he emphasized.

Minnihanov said Tatarstan is a national leader in technological development and was among the first regions in the country to move all state and municipal services online. Today, the republic has 5.5 million mobile internet users and more than 1.3 million fixed-line internet subscribers.

“Our IT infrastructure is developing rapidly. The republic’s IT parks bring together over 700 resident companies with annual revenues exceeding 40 billion rubles,” Minnihanov said.

As for human capital, 3.3% of the employed population works in the IT sector, and the region graduates 3,700 qualified specialists each year.

“We are focused on dynamically expanding cooperation in the scientific and technological sphere by creating favorable conditions for the exchange of innovative solutions and leading practices,” Minnihanov concluded.
