The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World”, Rustam Minnikhanov, sent a letter of support to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, in response to US and Israeli missile and bomb strikes on Iranian territory.
The letter states:
“Dear Mr. President,
It is with a sense of indignation and deep concern that we received the news of US and Israeli missile and bomb attacks on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The international community cannot remain indifferent to such unprovoked acts of aggression, which grossly violate international law, undermine peace, and pose a threat of a global nuclear catastrophe.
The Russian Federation has consistently supported efforts to resolve the situation around Iran’s nuclear program through peaceful means, and has repeatedly put forward initiatives aimed at finding mutually acceptable agreements.
On behalf of the Group of Strategic Vision 'Russia – Islamic World' and personally, please accept my sincere condolences for the numerous human casualties and destruction.
In these difficult days, I wish the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran courage and resilience, and to the Iranian people – peace, safety, and well-being.”
