Mishustin Hopes for Stronger Ties Between Moscow and Bishkek

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has expressed hope that relations between Moscow and Bishkek will continue to strengthen under the new Kyrgyz Prime Minister, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

 

"We expect that under your leadership, the Kyrgyz government will continue its course toward deepening cooperation with Russia across all areas," Mishustin said during a meeting with Kasymaliev. He also asked his Kyrgyz counterpart to convey warmest wishes from President Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.

 

The Russian prime minister stated his readiness to discuss all key issues concerning bilateral relations.

 

For his part, Kasymaliev emphasized his commitment to close cooperation with Moscow and expressed appreciation for Russia’s ongoing support.

 

"I am pleased to note that our friendship and strategic partnership are growing stronger every year. I will do my utmost to build on the progress made by you and my predecessor," Kasymaliev assured.

 

The new Kyrgyz prime minister also highlighted Russia’s crucial role in bilateral relations, saying:

 

"Thanks to President Putin’s support, your personal attention, and the efforts of your team, our cooperation is successfully developing in all areas. We deeply value our mutual understanding, trust, and strategic partnership."

 

"Russia is a very close country to all of us and to me personally," Kasymaliev added, recalling that both he and his wife graduated from universities in St. Petersburg.
