More than 2.5 thousand participants from 65 countries registered for KazanForum

More than 2.5 thousand participants from 65 countries have registered for the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic world: KazanForum".  Adviser to the Russian President, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee and the Forum's Executive Secretary  Anton Kobyakov announced this at the meeting of the Organizing Committee for preparing and holding the forum on Friday.

 

"As of today,  more than 2.5 thousand participants from 65 countries have registered for the forum, Kobyakov said.

 

He noted that a temporary consular post will be set up at Kazan Airport to support participants round the clock from May 15 to 23.

 

According to Kobyakov, about 75 agreements will be signed during the forum. "This is a large amount of work. I'm asking the working group on preparation of the draft architecture of the program to work thoroughly so that we take into account each agreement," he added.

 

Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov specified that representatives of more than 30 subjects of the Russian Federation, foreign ministers and diplomats have confirmed participation in KazanForum.

 

The 14th Kazan International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" will be held in Kazan on May 18-19. According to the information on the forum's web-site, the Islamic finance as well as the halal industry will be the main topics of the event. The business program will be organized in three tracks, containing 3 to 10 events.
