Moscow business mission initiates negotiations in Jakarta

A delegation of 18 Moscow-based companies representing various sectors has embarked on a business mission in Jakarta, where they have commenced talks with their Indonesian counterparts. The discussions, which began on Wednesday, aim to foster bilateral cooperation and explore potential areas of collaboration. This development was reported by the Indigonews news portal.

 

The negotiations involve representatives from the Russian Trade Mission in Indonesia, as well as participants from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Indigonews highlights that the Indonesian side has expressed keen interest in partnering with Russian companies across multiple sectors, including IT development, food and medicine production, and telecommunications equipment manufacturing.

 

During a press conference in Jakarta on May 17, Russian Ambassador Lyudmila Vorobyeva shared that experts anticipate the possibility of the Eurasian Economic Union and Indonesian authorities concluding a free trade agreement within the next two years.
