Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin called the security services of Russia and Tajikistan reliable partners.

"Interaction between Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service and Tajikistan's State National Security Committee has a rich history, we are reliable partners," he said Tuesday, answering a question from a TASS correspondent. According to him, the scale of interaction and the amount of intelligence information exchanged between the two countries' agencies is expanding annually.

"There is a trusting and steady dialogue between our countries, which is a good basis for cooperation in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. We are allies, we are members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization," Naryshkin said. He added that the presidents of Russia and Tajikistan are in constant contact, reconciling their positions on key issues of interaction, as well as aspects of the regional and international agenda.

Naryshkin arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit, during which he met with President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan. He is also scheduled to meet with his Tajik colleagues.
