“In August, as part of the 12th International Technoprom-2025 Forum (scheduled for August 27–30), the II Russia-Africa International Cooperation Forum ‘Education. Business. Culture – 2025’ will take place,” the university representative said. “The event is being organized by the Center for Public Diplomacy, Novosibirsk State University, and the Consortium of Russian Universities for Cooperation with African Countries.”
Ambassadors from Mali, Chad, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Niger, Rwanda, Namibia, Angola, and Ghana are expected to attend the forum. The participation of various ministers of education, industry, digitalization, and agriculture, presidents of national academies of sciences, and rectors of universities from several African states is also anticipated. In addition, heads of national oil companies from Burkina Faso and Niger will be among the participants.
At last year’s forum, a consortium of Russian universities was established to broaden cooperation with African countries. This year, consortium members will review the current state of engagement between Russian and African universities, discuss challenges and obstacles to mutually beneficial cooperation, identify key areas for collaboration, and develop a roadmap for the consortium’s work in the coming year.
