Russia views the initialled agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia with cautious optimism, considering it a contribution to strengthening peace in the region. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk during a session of the Eastern Economic Forum.
“We look at the initialled agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan with very cautious optimism. It is also an important step toward reinforcing peace in our broader Eurasian region,” he said.
The 10th Eastern Economic Forum is taking place in Vladivostok from September 3 to 6. The main theme of this year’s event is “The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.” The forum’s business program includes more than 100 thematic sessions across seven key tracks. Over 4,500 participants from more than 70 countries and territories are attending. The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation, with TASS serving as the official information partner.
