Pakistan Denies Its Citizens’ Involvement in Ukraine Conflict

05 August

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed Kyiv’s allegations that Pakistani nationals are participating in the conflict in Ukraine as “unfounded and baseless,” according to an official statement.

This response follows claims made earlier by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

“The government of Pakistan strongly rejects the baseless and unfounded accusations of Pakistani citizens’ involvement in the conflict in Ukraine,” the statement said. “To date, Ukrainian authorities have not made any official request to Pakistan, nor have any concrete pieces of evidence supporting such claims been provided.”

The statement also highlighted Pakistan’s continued commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict in accordance with the principles outlined in the UN Charter.
