Pakistani Taliban Claims Responsibility for Islamabad Court Bombing

The Pakistani Taliban (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, TTP), has claimed responsibility for the explosion outside a courthouse in Pakistan's capital that killed 12 people, according to Business Recorder.

 

The blast occurred on November 11 in a parking lot near a district court on the outskirts of Islamabad, leaving 12 dead and 27 injured. Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi confirmed that a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device near a police vehicle while attempting to enter the courthouse building.

 

The Russian Embassy in Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack and confirmed there were no Russian casualties among the victims.
