Palestinian factions participating in Cairo negotiations have endorsed the idea of a UN resolution authorizing the deployment of peacekeeping forces to the Gaza Strip. The Hamas movement confirmed the development in a statement.
According to the announcement published on Hamas' Telegram channel, participants in the Cairo meetings "agreed on the necessity of taking all measures to maintain stable conditions throughout Gaza." The statement further confirmed that "it is crucial for the United Nations to adopt a resolution deploying peacekeeping forces to the enclave to monitor compliance with the ceasefire."
