Palestinian President to Visit Moscow January 21-22

15 January

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will visit Moscow on January 21-22 and expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Palestinian embassy in Russia told TASS.

“He (Abbas) will arrive on January 21 for two days,” the embassy source confirmed when asked about plans for a meeting between Abbas and Putin.

In October, Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Abdel Hafiz Nofal told TASS that Abbas was ready to visit Russia “at any time” and was confident the trip would happen soon.

Abbas last visited Moscow in May 2025 for the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II, when the two presidents held bilateral talks.
