Palestinians Plan "Day of Rage" for February 27 to Protest Israeli Aggression

22 February

Various Palestinian public organizations are gearing up to stage a "Day of Rage" on February 27, denouncing Israel's aggression against the Palestinian populace in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, the WAFA news agency reported.

The protest aims to voice solidarity with Palestinian prisoners detained in Israeli jails. Representatives of the Commission for Prisoners and Former Prisoners underscored in a meeting held in the West Bank city of Al-Bira that "the Palestinian issue has reached a critical juncture, with Israel flagrantly violating Palestinian rights and turning their lives to hell." The "Day of Rage" is slated to unfold across Palestinian governorates.

Israel's actions have escalated tensions, with a complete blockade enforced on Gaza, accompanied by airstrikes targeting the territory as well as parts of Lebanon and Syria. Additionally, Israel initiated a ground operation within the enclave, while clashes erupted in the West Bank.

The toll of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict escalation is grave, with more 29,400 Palestinians being killed since its onset and over 69,400 individuals injured.
